Spiranthes survey - Easterwood Airport - 29 October, 2002

The area between the runway complex and the TAMU Nuclear Reactor (hatched below) will be surveyed for the presence of Spiranthes populations.  Of special interest will be the specific habitat of Spiranthes parksii (wooded openings along lines of drainage).  We will start at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 29 October, regardless of weather conditions.  Cars will be leaving from Butler Hall at 1:50 p.m. (meet at the Herbarium, Butler 009) and parking is available at the reactor area (enter at 2818/GBD and follow road past private terminal, wind tunnel, Fireman's Training School).  General plant collection is permitted (encouraged) in the survey area.
