July 10, 1997 - Herbarium Specimen Browser opened for public access with over 50,000 specimens from four FTC institutions

March 6, 1998 - Spring Meeting at the University of Texas in Tyler, in conjunction with the 101st meetings of the Texas Academy of Science

June 12, 1998 - Summer Meeting at the University of Texas, Austin

July 1, 1998 - Data model revised as a data exchange specification

July 10, 1998 - Herbarium Specimen Browser data content exceeds 100,000 specimen records from seven FTC herbaria

August 3, 1998 - Version 2.2 of the 'Tracy' specimen data input system released

March 31, 1999 - Member website initiated - Texas A&M University-Kingsville

June 3, 1999 - Herbarium Specimen Browser data content exceeds 130,000 specimen records from eight FTC herbaria
