Fruit - capsule, hesperidium, drupe, samara,
schizocarp, follicle; edible citrus fruits are hesperidiums (leathery-skinned
berry)
Diagnostic characteristics: shrubs and trees with aromatic oil glands, some
spiny or thorny
Economic importance: Citrus - orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangerine,
citron; Fortunella - kumquat, Ruta
